Another piece of Glasgow's 1960s high-rise history is currently being significantly altered by a refurbishment. St Andrew House in Sauchiehall Street was built in 1964 by Arthur Swift & Partners, best-known for their monumental Victoria Shopping Centre in Nottingham. Described by the Glasgow architectural guidebook 'Glasgow at a glance' as a 'powerful landmark', St Andrew House's exposed aggregate cladding panels are currently being replaced.
