Network Rail, which has responsibility for the UK's railway infrastructure, has just launched online access to some of its extensive archive of engineering and architectural drawings, many of which date back to the very earliest days of railway construction. The high-quality images include some of the UK's best-known bridges and stations, and the database is searchable and includes a timeline.
